Background
Self-service is one of the fastest-growing trends in retail, with recognised benefits of increased customer satisfaction and higher ticket sales. Deltrix’ kiosk division was set up to reduce the complexity and bring a self-service strategy within reach. Their parent company has extensive expertise in engineering, sourcing and manufacturing. With a state-of-the-art production facility, one of the very few awarded the prestigious Industry 4.0 certification, they needed a standard range of kiosks to complement their custom development.
A range of kiosks was designed floor-standing, wall mounted and countertop. Modularity is important – components such as bill acceptors, scanners and payment devices can easily be added for a semi-custom solution. The range has been a success for Deltrix, often used for large trials to gauge customer response before a full custom solution is developed.
